We are beyond grateful that we found Gordon! We had a new puppy and it had been many years since my partner or I had a puppy and we wanted to make sure we did things right with proper training to keep our wee little pup safe and happy and well behaved! I reached out to a few dog trainers and was not impressed. They either wanted some enormous sum of money up front or they wanted us to drop off our pup for weeks at a time for training at their facility. When we met up with Gordon it felt like a perfect fit. Training using positive reinforcement, at a reasonable cost with lots of notes and checklists and weekly sessions. I was at my wits end with nighttime crate training and with one conversation and some tools Gordon have us – we and the pup are getting a great night sleep now! Gordon is working with us on all the basics and our pup is a great walker now thanks to Gordon’s training – and we also have a few tricks up our sleeve from a book Gordon suggested! Honestly we could not be happier with the training we are getting from Gordon! I highly recommend Webster’s Dog Training!!!

Hiring Gordon was one of the best decision I’ve made for my Mona Lisa. Mona is a Border Collie/Pit Bull mix that had extreme anxiety and fear reactivity that essentially kept us isolated from going on walks and being around people outside of our family, which makes apartment living extremely difficult. After working with Gordon for approximately 2 months I am absolutely shocked and proud of the progress we’ve made! Gordon has not only worked with Mona, but more importantly he taught ME how to read her behavior and understand her needs, giving me the tools to be a better dog owner. Mona is happier, more confident, has less anxiety, and less reactive. His direct approach is exactly what we needed! I can proudly say Mona is now able to confidently enjoy all the sights, sounds and smells as we venture out on our regular walks! If you’re looking for a solid dog trainer, I highly highly recommend you give this guy a call!

A true dog whisperer in your living room! The first session with Gordon, my son and I looked at each other in complete disbelief…our crazy 3 month old, 25 lb puppy was calm and obedient. He was not only listening, but seemed to want to listen. And he was definitely happier listening and following Gordon than he was prior. Gordon left us that day with the distinct impression that our pup wanted to please us, and that through daily repetition of positive reinforcement exercises, he would learn how to do that. Dog training is not magical. It requires effort from the owner to work with their dog. This felt super daunting to me, but Gordon’s simple, systematic approach has made it so much easier. Every time Gordon shows up for a session, I feel reinvigorated and inspired. Our pup is now nearing 6 months and growing into an excellent, well-behaved member of our family. Is he perfect? Absolutely not. He is a puppy. But he knows how to listen and when he chooses not to, I’ve learned the tools to handle it. And when I face a real challenge outside of the sessions, Gordon is available to answer questions and help me navigate. Gordon is an excellent trainer, which stems from being an absolute dog lover, and a lifetime of working with dogs and studying dog behavior. He strives to understand your dog to better train you both. Work with Gordon. Your pup will thank you! And so will your friends, family and neighbors!

Gordon is amazing! My dog Sage is a German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix and desperately needed training to address reactivity and to improve her obedience. We started seeing results and a positive change in Sage after the first week! Gordon loves the dogs in his training program like his own and his gentle, patient, and uses positive reinforcement to address behavior issues. Sage is still in his program and has more to learn, but she is a much calmer dog and we are much more confident owners thanks to Gordon! If you are looking for positive reinforcement training, do not hesitate to give Gordon a call!

Gordon Webster of Websters Dog Training , came as a recommendation from a friend. Our new 4 month Belgium Malonois, Frankie , was already quite a handful and we felt we needed professional help and quickly. Gordon was very detailed on our first call and followed up with a great in person consultation ( both of these were free as well..!), where he set out the training program and our place in it as owners and team players.
Everything was organized and detailed where we could daily/weekly understand what he would be working on and also know what our focus was for that week. The entire program is 8 weeks long with two visits a week, we chose the Mon/Thu option but there’s Tue/Fri and Wed/Sat offered as well. What sealed the deal for us was his gentle approach with Frankie, which was kind and reassuring but also firm when required. They offer various payment options and we chose the “ week to week “ plan, where you pay at the end of each lesson - this let us spread the cost, which was great on a budget. Frankie has already learnt ten hand commands and twenty vocal commands also. His loose leash walking is a dream and when he has finished teething we have decided to stay with Websters Dog Training for weekly hiking and also Skate Board Training lol..! Can’t wait - thanks G!

I highly recommend Gordon. He had a profound impact on me (as the one who needed to learn how to be a good and responsible dog owner) and my dog, a 3 y/o rescue, pit bull mix. My dog was reactive and lacked any skills, and I was a first time dog owner. Gordon was a wonderful teacher, very patient, and absolutely loved my dog. In a few short months, my dog's behavior was significantly improved, and I learned how to demonstrate the leadership that was required to earn my dog's trust and ease his fears.
Gordon is a phenomenal dog trainer and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We signed up for the 12 week puppy course and it’s amazing to see our dog mature and become such a good boy. He also teaches you so much as a dog trainer and techniques you would never know about. He’s also a great guy to be around and genuine. I’d recommend Gordon to anyone looking to be a better trainer/ improve your dogs behavior. It’s worth it every dollar!
I recently had the pleasure of working with Gordon for my dog's training, and I am beyond impressed with the results. In a remarkably short period, Gordon has transformed my dog into the perfect companion. His techniques are straightforward and incredibly effective, making the training process not only easy but also enjoyable for both me and my dog.
Gordon's approach is gentle yet firm, and he has a remarkable way of connecting with dogs. He understands their behavior and knows exactly how to guide them towards better habits. The progress my dog made in such a short time is nothing short of amazing. Not only is my dog better behaved, but he's also happier and more confident, thanks to Gordon's training methods.
What stands out most about Gordon is his genuine love for dogs and his commitment to their well-being. He doesn't just train dogs; he forms a bond with them, which is evident in the way my dog responds to him. It's clear that he isn't just doing a job; he's following his passion, and that makes all the difference.
If you're looking for a dog trainer who is effective, compassionate, and dedicated, Gordon is the person to go to. He has not just trained my dog but also educated me on how to continue the good work. I highly recommend his services to any dog owner looking for positive changes in their pet's behavior. Gordon is truly a master at what he does.
Gordon comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience. He is personal, easy to work with and learn from.
He uses real life stories to explain certain situations that we should be aware of to best train our dog.
Gordon is flexible, extremely helpful and offer suggestions for us to improve.
He gave us detailed notes so we can practice drills with our dog outside of sessions.
We have learned a lot from Gordon and recommend him to anyone who needs a help with their dogs on anything.
There are not enough accolades to say about Gordon Webster and his dog training. We are previous dog owners yet this puppy was overwhelming us. Gordon patiently and wisely led us down a path of understanding behaviors, skill-building (for us and for our pup!), and learning how to get to a place of joy and appreciation. Gordon is truly a “dog whisperer”. His approach was positive reinforcements vs punishment and he is always respectful of our dog (who is always so happy to to work with him!). Truly can’t thank Gordon enough and look forward to continuing learning, playing and enjoying our well-behaved, happy, inquisitive pet.
We first started training with Gordon, of Websters Dog Training, when our dog Turk was 12 weeks old.
We put Turk through the 6 week Obedience Program and were amazed at his progress under Gordon’s guidance.
First Gordon established a relationship based on Hand Signals. Once these were understood and practiced, he then taught multiple vocal commands.
We were given lesson notes and homework after every visit, easy to follow and very detailed, which we practiced until the next lesson.
What we clearly noticed was Turks bond with Gordon; it was a relationship of trade, based on fair but firm handling , not only did our dog enjoy these lessons - he excelled at them ..!
Websters Dog Training Philosophy is based on the dog offering you taught behaviors in any given situation in exchange for reward; food, toys, tactile and verbal praise, instead of you asking the dog for them.
Positive Reinforcement is Gordon’s primary instruction but firmness is often required with adolescent dogs and Gordon uses just enough for your dog to refocus without losing your dog’s respect or trust.
Did we enjoy the experience..?
Turk is just over six months old now and we’ve just begun the Intermediate Obedience Program.
Turk is learning to :
Walk Backwards.
Pivot Into Heel Position.
Orbit Around Our Bodies.
Etc Etc.
His confidence and focus is through the roof..!!
Thank you again Websters Dog Training.
Your dog did something that worried you. You love your dog, and you only want what's best for them. You want to help them, and you need some assistance. You look online and see a ton of options for dog trainers. You're worried. What if you invite someone into your home who truly doesn't know what they're doing? What if they lead your dog into even worse behaviors? What if they are unpleasant to be around as a person? And what if your dog just doesn't like them? I'm here to tell you that I had all of those worries, and Gordon squashed every single one of them.
Gordon truly cares about you and your dog. He is a straight-to-the-point kind of person. You are paying him to tell you what's wrong and how to fix it, and he will. You may have a set of things in your head that you need your dog to fix. You will need an open mind because he will provide you with a list of things (one at a time) that YOU need to fix to become closer to your dog. For your dog to respect you. For your dog to think you are the most important person in their life. For your dog to love you more than they ever have before.
Gordon is going to challenge you. I implore you to keep an open mind. Don't get me wrong; if you disagree with something, he will definitely hear you out, but still, try your best to implement his recommendations.
Was I a fan of crate training before Gordon? No. Does my dog now love his crate? Yes. It's his safe spot. It's his den. Did I always let my dog on all of the furniture before Gordon? Yes. Does my dog now seem to respect time on the couch more now that it's only when I allow him up? Absolutely. Does my dog love me less now that I have given him all of these constant rules to follow? Hell no. He loves me more. He's stimulated, he's excited, he pays more attention to me.
Gordon has given me and my wife the tools to continue training my dog and all of my future dogs to live a happy, safe, and fulfilling life. The difference between my dog before and after Gordon is night and day.
Also, he's just a fun guy to be around.
Gordon gets a 20/10. This guy rules. Hire him!
Hot Tip: Have a black cup of coffee with a spoon of sugar waiting for Gordon when he visits you and your pup; this dude is busy. Help him out!
I can't recommend Webster's Dog Training enough! Gordon is an excellent trainer; he is highly knowledgable, patient, and explains things in ways that really resonate.
Gordon been working with our 7-8 month old GSD puppy and we've seen huge improvements in just the first month of working with him. Our puppy is a rescue with no prior training foundation, but despite that, Gordon has helped us tap into our dog's innate intelligence in ways we never expected. We're looking forward to continued progress and can't wait to see our dog reach his full potential with Gordon's help!
